Learning English is a priority for many newcomers in the Central Alberta area. There are many Care for Newcomers programs to help you learn English and improve your language skills.

When you take one of the English language assessments, your score shows us where to place you for adult daytime Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) courses or evening English as a Second Language (ESL) classes.

Part-time LINC day classes cover CLB levels 1-4, and part-time evening classes cover CLB levels 1-6.
